Creating a Future in Print was SCREEN Americas’ theme at PRINTING United in Las Vegas, Nevada, which took place October 19–21, 2022, where attendees from around the country gathered in SCREEN Americas’ booth. A number of these printers left the show as proud owners of a new press from the Truepress Jet520HD series indicating that the future of print is definitely in high-speed, continuous roll-fed inkjet.
Moore, a leader in direct mail marketing for the nonprofit industry, added a Truepress Jet520HD AD and a Truepress Jet520NX to its existing arsenal of SCREEN technology.
JD Graphic, a full-service commercial printer located in SCREEN Americas’ hometown of Elk Grove Village, Illinois, opted for the Truepress Jet520HD+ as did ArborOakland Group, a full-service commercial and direct mail printer located in Royal Oak, Michigan. Agreements were followed by the sound of champagne glasses clinking as SCREEN Americas toasted to their customers’ futures.
SCREEN Americas also participated in the PRINTING United UX event, which was held immediately before the convention’s opening. The occasion offered SCREEN Americas a chance to meet with interested parties in its booth and give one-on-one demonstrations with the help of its Executive Customer Council (ECC), a loyal group of customers who are extremely familiar with the company’s inkjet technology.
The 4200-square-foot booth also showcased the Truepress Jet L350UV SAI series, the company’s flagship series for labels. A portrait of rhythm dancers in the booth’s background represented the CMYK colors found in the series’ two models, S and E. Additional ink options for the series include white, orange and blue and have proven to be invaluable to many label manufacturers looking to achieve opacity on transparent substrates.
Truepress Ink NP, a new range of inks designed for users of the Truepress Jet520NX series, is scheduled to be released in February 2023. Sparked by recent increases in the price for crude oil and other raw materials, the Truepress Ink NP is a solution for printers looking to reduce their overall production costs. Because the ink is concealed in a durable bag positioned in a box, as opposed to a plastic tank, the packaging doesn’t require much space for disposal. This allows for additional cost savings and is much friendlier to the environment.

Label Solutions Inc. of Marshfield, Missouri, had two Truepress Jet L350UV SAI S models installed in 2022 – the first in July and the second in October. The company purchased the second press after discovering that it had achieved an ink savings of 20 percent with the first.
With nearly 40 employees and a 40,000-square-foot facility, Label Solutions produces prime labels, custom labels, labels containing multiple SKUs, short-run labels, and consecutive bar code labels for a variety of industries including compressed gas, which accounts for 50 percent of its business, food, beverage, and nutraceuticals — a fast-growing market for Label Solutions.
Consolidated Solutions of Cleveland, Ohio, added the Truepress Jet520HD+ to its arsenal of equipment which also includes the SCREEN Truepress Jet520EX.
The company turned to SCREEN Americas to meet the demands of sophisticated buyers — particularly those in the healthcare industry whose expectations include achieving quality color while maintaining their strict mail date compliancy requirements. The Truepress Jet520HD+ has proven to be the ideal solution for this meticulous market and has eliminated the company's need for additional staff.
Founded in 1996, Consolidated Solutions employs 150 individuals, operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week, and has two facilities located within a block of each other totaling 200,000 square feet.
Direct mail printer, MSP, of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, added the Truepress Jet520HD AD to its operation which includes the Truepress Jet520NX. With this purchase, the company plans to eliminate its entire fleet of offset lithographic equipment and convert its total customer base to SCREEN’s technology.
The Truepress Jet520HD AD will expand the company’s capabilities by adding an additional service in which clients can print on envelopes. The press’ variable data capabilities and its ability to print on a wide variety of both coated and uncoated paper stock make it the perfect model for such an application.
Founded in 1953, MSP primarily focuses on nonprofit organizations. Its operation includes a full-service mailing facility.
Summit Direct Mail, Inc. of Dallas, Texas, now boasts two presses from the Truepress Jet520ZZ series and two from the Truepress Jet520HD series — one Truepress Jet520HD+ and one Truepress Jet520HD AD. The four presses account for 80 percent of the company’s total production.
Direct mail campaigns in the form of standard size letters are typically reserved for the Truepress Jet520ZZ series using uncoated paper. Jobs involving postcards and self-mailers are performed on the Truepress Jet520HD series using coated stock. Because neither series requires preprinted shells, clients have a lot of flexibility and can make last minute changes to their campaigns.
Serving the financial, nonprofit, retail and healthcare industries along with government agencies, Summit Direct Mail produces 1.5 to 2 million pieces per day. The company was founded in 2003.
