Label Expo Logo

Printing United Logo

SCREEN Americas demonstrated the benefits of its Truepress Jet L350UV SAI series at Labelexpo Americas in Rosemont, Illinois, September 13–15, 2022. Attendees had the opportunity to see the S model of the Truepress Jet L350UV SAI in operation. With the theme being Creating a Future in Print, the company showcased a brand-new booth which spanned 2,400 square feet and portrayed an image of four rhythm dancers — one dressed in each of the four colors representing the CMYK formula — and a traditional Japanese Zen Garden that reflected the company’s roots in Kyoto, Japan.

SCREEN Americas’ booth at PRINTING United in Las Vegas, Nevada, October 19–21, 2022, will reflect a similar East-meets-West theme. Located in booth number N1625 and spanning a spacious 4,200 square feet, attendees will have the opportunity to see presses from both the high-speed and label divisions in action.

Registrants of the SCREEN Americas’ User’s Group can interact with SCREEN Americas’ personnel and members of its Executive Customer Council during the PRINTING United UX event, which will be held on October 19, 2022, just prior to the show floor’s opening.

Data Mail Full Service Direct Mail Operation

Direct Mail Printer Produces One Billion Linear Feet on SCREEN’s Technology

Data Mail Logo

Data-Mail, Inc., a full-service direct mail operation in Newington, Connecticut, printed a total of one billion linear feet solely on SCREEN technology in the first ten months of 2021. The milestone is one of the first achieved in North America by a single printer. A SCREEN customer since 2016, Data-Mail operates sixteen SCREEN engines including ones from the Truepress Jet520EX, Truepress Jet520NX and Truepress Jet520HD series. Such flexibility allows the printer to provide customers with variable data solutions in color or monochrome imaging using simplex or duplex configurations and at speeds up to 500 feet per minute.

Hickman's Label Printer

SCREEN celebrated a milestone in February 2022 with the two hundredth installation of the Truepress Jet L350UV series worldwide to Hickman Label Company of Lebanon, Tennessee. The label printer invested in the Truepress Jet L350UV SAI S which was launched in 2019 followed by its earlier models, the Truepress Jet L350UV+ and Truepress Jet L350UV+LM and the original model, the Truepress Jet L350UV, which came to market in 2014. The Truepress Jet L350UV SAI series offers greater stability with printing speeds of up to 60 meters per minute and allows for seven printheads with the option for an eighth.

SCREEN Americas and Nilpeter Expand Partnership to Include Latin America

Nilpeter to sell, install and service the Truepress Jet L350UV SAI series

Nilpeter Logo

SCREEN Americas and Nilpeter A/S expanded their partnership, which originated in 2019, to include sales, installations, and service of the Truepress Jet L350UV SAI series in Latin America. The announcement was timely as it coincided with Labelexpo Americas 2022 in Rosemont, Illinois, where several members of the Nilpeter team joined employees of SCREEN Americas in SCREEN’s booth to share the news with the show’s attendees and demonstrate the benefits of the Truepress Jet L350UV SAI series to them.

Known for its exceptional print quality and durability, the Truepress Jet L350UV SAI series is a perfect fit for the Latin American market as the demand for high-quality inkjet printing continues to grow in that particular region. The alliance will enable both companies to strengthen their presence in Latin America by providing printers with more options for high-quality, reliable printing equipment as well as more immediate service to their customers. For the team at SCREEN Americas, the partnership represents an opportunity to expand its reach into new markets and bring more value to printers.

Headquartered in Denmark with offices in the United States and Brazil, Nilpeter has been providing solutions for the label and packaging industry for more than 100 years. Its office in São Paulo, Brazil, will be the point of contact for printers looking to achieve quality label production with an industry-proven press such as the Truepress Jet L350UV SAI.

White Ink Enables Label Printer to Create Opaque Images on Transparent Substrates

Quadriga Representitives

Quadriga Logo

Quadriga USA Enterprises, Inc. of Valencia, California, upgraded its Truepress Jet L350UV+ to the SAI S version. The press allows Quadriga to print labels on a wide range of substrates including metallic and transparent materials which require white ink to ensure that the final image is opaque. The Truepress Jet L350UV SAI S offers CMYK plus white at a speed of 165 feet per minute. Since its installation in March 2022, the press has assumed 40 percent of the company’s workload and customers receive their labels within two to three business days via the company’s online ordering system.

Technology Allows Transactional Printer to Eliminate the Need for Preprinted Shells

Treepress Jet 520 HD

Wolverine Logo

The installation of a second Truepress Jet520HD took place at Wolverine Solutions Group of Detroit, Michigan. The printer, who produces more than one million impressions per day, dedicates one Truepress Jet520HD for transactional work and the other for direct mail marketing pieces requiring oversized postcards and self-mailers printed on heavy coated stock. The two presses are arranged perpendicular to each other and allow the printer to transfer applications from one press to the other or double its throughput for longer runs. As a result of its increased agility, the company has downsized inventory and eliminated all preprinted shells.
